Winter comeback gives Caribou area 7 inches of mid-May snow

Winter, we meet again.

Caribou got about 3.5 inches of snow Monday, with about 7 inches reported from a weather station at Loring, as of 8:30 this morning.

That’s an unprecedented amount for this late in the year, according to the National Weather Service’s Caribou station.

NWS in Caribou reported that 7 inches reported in Caswell had the lead for snowfall by about 10 a.m. Monday, as another 1.5 inches fell in Caribou, putting the total snowfall at about 4.5 inches.
